Destination View

The Setup Design-Destination view allows you to view the destinations of all of your components and files. Because each component you create should not contain more than one .exe, .dll, .ocx, or .hlp file, you need to create a separate component for each file of these types, even if they share a common folder. This Setup Best Practices restriction can cause confusion due to the overwhelming number of components that you may need to create. In order to help clarify where each component and file is going to be sent, you can use the Destination view to visually define where your files will be installed.
